What you need to have
Raspberry PI board
The current version of the board is Raspberri PI 4. They can have from 2 to 8 GB of RAM. For our projects 2GB is enough, but 4 or 8GB are much better if you want to use the board as a PC. Considering the prices, best price/value ratio will be either 4GB or 8GB.
It is possible to but Raspberry PI 3 cheaper. Llease attention for power supply and other accessories, they can be incompatible with version 3 of the board.
Here is Raspberry PI 4, 4GB version:

Table Camera
We need a camera able to focus on what we do on the table. Usually, it means manual focus. Here is a not expensive camera I checked. If you already have another camera you can use to show table work via Zoom, you can zoom it instead.

Optional
Touchscreen monitor for Raspberry PI
It will be cool to have a touch screen for the raspberry PI, but we can do everything we need just connecting Raspberry PI to any HDMI monitor.
