What you need to have
Raspberry PI board
The current version of the board is Raspberri PI 4. They can have from 2 to 8 GB of RAM. For our projects 2GB is enough, but 4 or 8GB are much better if you want to use the board as a PC. Considering the prices, best price/value ratio will be either 4GB or 8GB.
It is possible to but Raspberry PI 3 cheaper. Llease attention for power supply and other accessories, they can be incompatible with version 3 of the board.
Here is Raspberry PI 4, 4GB version:
HDMI cable for Raspberry PI
Power Supply for Raspberry PI
They are different for Raspberry Pi 4 and 3. The usual USB charger is not enough.
We can use these sensors to make some more fun projects with Raspberry PI.
We need a camera able to focus on what we do on the table. Usually, it means manual focus. Here is a not expensive camera I checked. If you already have another camera you can use to show table work via Zoom, you can zoom it instead.
You can choose from a zillion of cases. This is one example:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VK9CN98/?coliid=IXOZB5FXFLJOS&colid=1C02LJI15Y63A&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
SD Card reader
You can use any card reader which can work with micro SD cards. Some of them kinda glitchy. This one works fine.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EFPX9XA?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
Any computer display with HDMI plug in. I suspect you already have some kind of monitor at home. If you don’t then you check the optional part bellow. You can either buy a special touch screen for Raspberry PI, or any PC display with HDMI input.
You need a USB keyboard
Touchscreen monitor for Raspberry PI
It will be cool to have a touch screen for the raspberry PI, but we can do everything we need just connecting Raspberry PI to any HDMI monitor.
